The Energy & Asset Efficiency Analyst supports fleet asset and energy efficiency planning through capital portfolio analysis, financial tracking, asset performance monitoring, and business case development. The role consolidates technical, operational, and financial data for Technical Asset and Decarbonization initiatives; monitors the performance of systems including HVAC, engines, AAQS, and electrical systems; and prepares clear analysis and reporting to support investment prioritization and performance improvement. The position collaborates with Asset Teams, Technical Operations, Decarbonization, Finance, Technical Projects, and shipboard stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
-
Support the annual and multi-year Asset and Energy capital planning process by consolidating project requests, validating supporting information, maintaining the portfolio pipeline, coordinating planning inputs and deadlines, and preparing summaries for prioritization and management review. Provide analytical support to Asset and Decarbonization leaders; project ownership remains with the designated teams. Analyze and report capital and operational budgets, cost and schedule variance, project lead times, lifecycle requirements, and fleet asset replacement or retrofit forecasts. Develop analytical tools and presentations that support project justification, prioritization, feasibility, and management decision-making.
-
Support business case preparation for asset planning and energy efficiency initiatives. Compile baseline data, technical assumptions, vendor inputs, implementation costs, maintenance impacts, expected fuel or energy savings, emissions benefits, lifecycle cost, payback, and return-on-investment calculations. Prepare decision-support materials and maintain traceability of assumptions for review and approval by the responsible technical and financial stakeholders.
-
Track and analyze fleet asset performance for assigned systems, including HVAC, engines, Advanced Air Quality Systems (AAQS), electrical systems, and other energy-significant equipment. Consolidate data from available systems and stakeholders, monitor trends and deviations, and develop dashboards and recurring performance reports that enable Asset Teams and Technical Operations to identify reliability, efficiency, and maintenance opportunities.
-
Coordinate planning and performance follow-up across Asset Teams, Technical Operations, Decarbonization, Finance, Technical Projects, vendors, and shipboard teams. Organize inputs and review meetings, document decisions and actions, follow up on agreed deliverables, and support post-implementation benefit tracking against approved business cases. Perform other related duties and analyses as assigned.
-
Ensure accurate financial tracking for repair and maintenance (R&M) activities and capital projects supporting the Technical Asset and Decarbonization departments. Maintain forecasts, commitments, purchase order and invoice status, actual expenditure, variance analysis, and budget reconciliation in coordination with Finance and project owners. Flag material deviations, missing information, and risks requiring management attention.
