Marketing Events Manager

About Volta

Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.

About The Role

Volta is scaling its event presence fast – from major industry stages to a small number of far more targeted conversations with the anchor accounts we’re pursuing. This role owns that calendar end to end – strategy, budget, and vendor accountability – so our executives walk into every room prepared and come out of it with a real next step, not just a good conversation.

You’ll report to our Director of Marketing and be Volta’s first dedicated events hire – converting the attention we’ve built since launch, and the fixed timeline of our flagship events, into pipeline from day one. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on managing logistics, budgets, and details while keeping the big picture in mind.

**What You Will Be Doing

**

Event Strategy & Ownership

· Own the 12-month event calendar – logistics, sponsorships, speaking submissions, and booth strategy.

· Lead planning for our flagship-tier events, including major industry conferences and capstone moments on the calendar.

· Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to define event goals, target audiences, and success metrics before each event, not just report results after the fact.

· Stay current on industry event trends and formats to keep Volta’s presence fresh and competitive.

· Manage swag, collateral, and booth assets consistent with Volta’s brand guidelines.

Vendor & Partner Management

· Build and manage relationships with venues, event-production vendors, and broader industry partners.

· Own the events budget – vendor negotiation, sponsorship-tier decisions, and cost tracking.

On-Site Execution & Pipeline Impact

· Own on-site execution – staffing, signage, and attendee experience – working directly alongside any contracted event-production support, not delegating it away.

· Convert event presence into real pipeline for our leadership team’s small number of sequenced, high-value conversations – this is a targeted-relationship motion, not a volume one.

· Coordinate executive logistics for speaking engagements – briefing prep, talk-track alignment, and on-site support for our leadership team.

· Own post-event lead capture and handoff for nurture.

· Report event performance, pipeline impact, and ROI back into our broader marketing plan.

What You Bring

· 5+ years in B2B tech field marketing or events, ideally within infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise SaaS.

· Experience managing external event-production agencies or execution vendors – holding them accountable for delivery while owning strategy in-house.

· A track record owning sponsorship negotiations and event budgets at meaningful scale.

· Comfort operating with minimal existing infrastructure in a fast-moving, pre-Series-B environment

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
