This is a people-management position responsible for managing and developing the Marketing Events team while overseeing programs across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
The Marketing Events Manager will own a portfolio that includes trade shows, conferences, user events, seminars, webinars, sponsorships, and executive speaking opportunities. Working closely with Marketing, Sales, executive leadership, and other cross-functional partners, this leader will translate business priorities into high-impact event programs that strengthen the RTI brand, engage customers and prospects, and contribute to pipeline growth.
The ideal candidate combines strategic judgment, people leadership, operational excellence, and a data-driven approach to investment and performance.
Work Location: This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in our Denver, CO office.
✨ What You’ll Do:
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of event professionals, including setting priorities, managing performance, supporting career development, and allocating resources across the global event portfolio.
- Own RTI’s global event strategy and annual roadmap, ensuring investments align with company, market, brand, and go-to-market priorities.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, regional leaders, and executive stakeholders to define event objectives, audiences, messaging, engagement strategies, and success measures.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of virtual and in-person events across North America, EMEA, and APAC, ensuring consistent quality, brand expression, and attendee experience.
- Establish and continuously improve event processes, planning standards, tools, and governance to enable efficient, scalable execution.
- Own the global events budget, including annual planning, forecasting, expense management, vendor negotiations, and investment recommendations.
- Manage strategic relationships with agencies, venues, production partners, exhibit vendors, and other external suppliers; oversee contracts, pricing, performance, and service quality.
- Define event measurement frameworks, and partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure effective lead capture, follow-up, attribution, and reporting.
- Evaluate event performance using pipeline contribution, engagement, cost, and other business measures; lead post-event reviews, data-driven analysis, and present recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify and assess new event and sponsorship opportunities based on audience needs, market priorities, competitive activity, and expected business value.
- Provide clear direction to cross-functional event teams and ensure stakeholders understand roles, timelines, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
