Product Marketing Manager

About us

Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.

We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.

Our co-founders are Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

About the Role

Sierra is going deep on industry-first go-to-market, and we're expanding our Solutions Product Marketing team to help drive it. This role sits alongside our core product marketing team but has a distinct focus: taking what we build and making it land with specific industries and personas. You'll own translating product capability into industry-relevant messaging, sales enablement, content, events, and demos — and you'll help build the operational backbone that lets this team scale across verticals.

You'll be a direct partner in building this out, and in making it clear that no playbook exists yet — not just executing an existing one.

What You'll Do

• Product marketing generalist. You’re a passionate product marketer, energized by messaging and positioning and skilled at tailoring a message to a specific industry or buyer. One day you update web copy, the next you build an event session, craft a sales narrative, or create content for a campaign experiment.

• Launch products. When a product ships, you own how it’s packaged for the industries and personas we serve: the story, the assets, and the sales enablement. You work in partnership with the core PMM team.

• Sales enablement and content. You build and maintain the playbooks and assets our GTM teams use to sell into industries, including slide decks, landing pages, and industry playbooks.

• AI-first mindset. You’re AI fluent, and your first instinct is to ask how a task could be automated or streamlined. You’ll help build the automations, templates, and systems that keep our work consistent across industries and workstreams.

• Range across altitudes. You flex across channels and activations, and you can go deep on one area, such as an industry vertical, a persona, or our industry demo strategy. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace, and you like to build.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of B2B or B2C product marketing experience.

• Expertise in positioning and messaging, leading product or feature launches, and building sales-facing and customer-facing assets for different audiences and industries.

• Strong operational instincts. You think in process, systems, and repeatable frameworks, and you’re comfortable building structure where none exists.

• Fluency with tools like ChatGPT or Claude to work faster and automate where it makes sense.

• A passion for storytelling and experience building presentations in Google Slides.

• Comfort being on a lean team that’s still being defined, and enthusiasm for shaping how it works.

Sample Projects

• Take a newly launched product and build the industry go-to-market package for a specific vertical: messaging, sales assets, enablement, and demo.

• Revamp the industry webpages - starting with the analytics, research, design recommendations, through to copy, imagery, demos and more.

Our values

• Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.

• Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.

• Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.

• Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.

• Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
