GTM Engineer

Who we are

Sapien is the engine behind the world’s most important companies. We build agents that learn how a business works from its financial and operational data: its language, operations, and economics. That understanding helps people find opportunities, make better decisions, and act.

We work with complex businesses, from manufacturers and restaurant groups to the Fortune 500. Teams at companies including Bayer, Cooper Standard, Blink Charging, Carlex, and Odeko use Sapien to understand their businesses and improve how they run. Our ambition is to build the self-optimizing company by making its people and systems dramatically more capable.

We’re headquartered by Madison Square Park in NYC, with $15M+ raised and backing from General Catalyst, Neo, and operators from OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Ramp, and Stripe. We’re bringing together AI researchers, engineers, and operators to build intelligence for the people who build everything else.

The Role

We're hiring a GTM Engineer to build the machine behind Sapien's go-to-market. While our BDR owns conversations, you own the system: the infrastructure, automation, channels, and experiments that make every part of our GTM motion faster, smarter, and more repeatable.

This is a builder's seat, not an operator-of-someone-else's-playbook seat. You'll stand up the growth stack from scratch, run experiments across channels, and flex into whatever the company needs next, from marketing support to ops projects to founder-led initiatives. You'll work directly with the founders and sales team, and as we scale, this role becomes the foundation for growth, marketing ops, or RevOps leadership.

What you'll do

Growth Infrastructure

• Build and own the growth stack: CRM architecture, enrichment, automation, lead routing, dashboards, and reporting. Clean data, clear pipeline visibility, no leaks.

• Engineer leverage with AI: automated research, personalization at scale, workflow agents. If a task is repeatable, you systematize it.

• Define the metrics that matter and make them visible: funnel conversion, channel performance, pipeline health.

Channels & Experimentation

• Run structured experiments across channels: outbound systems, paid, content distribution, events, partnerships. Measure what works, kill what doesn't, double down fast.

• Support marketing execution: landing pages, campaigns, email programs, and the distribution behind our content and narrative.

• Build repeatable playbooks from what wins, so every successful experiment becomes a permanent channel.

Growth & Ops Flex

• Partner with the founders on high-priority initiatives across GTM, ops, and strategy. You're the utility player who makes things happen.

• Support sales and deployments with research, tooling, and process improvements wherever there's leverage.

• Feed structured signal back to leadership: which channels are working, where CAC is trending, and where the next opportunity is.

What we're looking for

• Builder mentality. You'd rather design the system than run someone else's playbook. You see gaps and fill them without being asked.

• 2–4+ years of experience in growth, RevOps, consulting, banking, or early-stage startups. You've built systems that other people rely on.

• Process-obsessed & technically fluent. You build clean systems — CRM hygiene, dashboards, documented workflows. You don't let things slip through cracks. You don't need engineering to ship most of what you build.

• AI-native. You use AI tools daily and you're energized by what's possible. You'll be expected to leverage AI across your workflows.

• High agency. You operate with speed and urgency in ambiguous environments. You don't wait for permission — you identify what's next and do it.

How you work (values we care about)

• AI-native. You’re energized by applying AI to transform how businesses run.

• Ambiguity-shaping. You turn nebulous problems into a first pass and drive to resolution.

• Extreme ownership. You identify what’s next—and do it. If you say it, it gets done.

• Speed & hustle. You bias to action and move with urgency without sacrificing quality.
