Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is a joint venture between two industry leaders with a clear vision for automotive’s next chapter. From operating systems to zonal controllers to cloud and connectivity solutions, we’re addressing the challenges of electric vehicles through technology that will set the standards for software-defined vehicles around the world.
The road to the future is uncharted. By combining our expertise across connectivity, AI, security and more, we’ll map a new way forward. Working together, we’ll create a future that’s more connected, more intelligent, more sustainable for everyone.
We are currently looking for a skilled and driven Body Controls and Integration Engineer to join our Body-Controls Integration Team. This team integrates and validates software for body controls across multiple vehicle programs, covering features such as interior and exterior lighting, cabin closures, storage systems and comfort systems. The perfect candidate will possess a solid foundation in software integration, vehicle integration, and hands-on testing and debugging.
Responsibilities
-
Integrate software components into the vehicle software system, supporting bench testing, in-vehicle integration and ensuring compatibility with existing systems.

-
Develop detailed test cases and scripts to validate features in Unit test, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) test, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test, and vehicle test environments.
-
Conduct hands-on software testing to ensure the software performs as expected in real-world conditions. This includes executing tests and analyzing results.
-
Maintain the Body-Bucks, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test assets, and vehicle test assets, keeping them on current software and ready for Merge Request testing and bug triage.
-
Triage bugs across programs to speed up resolution.
-
Lead root cause analysis of issues. Use a multidisciplinary approach to troubleshoot functional problems within our vehicles by addressing root causes across physical, electrical, and software domains.
-
Prioritize and escalate issues based on user impact and program objectives for swift resolution.
-
Collaborate closely with other Engineering teams and program partners to align on software defects and priorities, and to keep programs on schedule for each milestone.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering; Master's degree preferred
-
2+ years of experience working with automotive control systems
