About ZendGroup
ZendGroup is on a mission to be the UK’s best eCommerce fulfilment business – and we’re growing fast. We ship thousands of orders every day for ambitious brands across health and wellness, sports nutrition, beauty and beyond. Accuracy and trust are at the heart of everything we do.
That could be you.
Keep Our Stock Accurate
Zendbox is looking for a hands-on Stock Controller to protect inventory accuracy across our fast-paced, multi-client 3PL operation. You’ll own cycle counting, investigate discrepancies and ensure that what our systems say is in stock matches what is physically in the warehouse.
If you enjoy getting to the bottom of problems, working with data and helping teams get things right first time, this could be the role for you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Stock Accuracy & WMS
• Maintain accurate inventory records across our WMS and connected platforms, reconciling physical stock with system balances.
• Check stock movements, replenishment, transfers and location changes to maintain accurate records and traceability.
Cycle Counts & Investigations
• Own the cycle count programme, prioritising high-value, high-volume and high-risk SKUs and supporting stock audits.
• Investigate discrepancies promptly, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure stock adjustments are supported by evidence, authorised and accurately recorded.
Goods In & Inventory Integrity
• Oversee the accuracy of Goods In receipting, SKU identification, quantities, put-away and stock locations, escalating operational issues to the Goods In team.
• Monitor batch and lot codes, expiry dates, FEFO/FIFO stock rotation, and quarantined, damaged or returned stock in line with customer requirements.
• Identify aged, slow-moving and obsolete stock, flagging risks and recommending action.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Produce inventory reports covering accuracy, cycle counts, discrepancies, adjustments, outstanding investigations and CAPA.
• Work with Goods In, Replenishment, Outbound, Customer Experience and Operations to resolve stock issues before they affect customer orders or SLAs.
• Follow SOPs, customer-specific requirements, traceability and safety controls, and support peak and improvement projects.
Who You’ll Work With
• Goods In and Replenishment – keeping stock receipts, put-away and movements accurate.
• Outbound and Customer Experience – resolving stock issues before they affect orders or customers.
• Operations – escalating risks, reporting trends and improving stock processes.
What This Role Isn’t
• This is an inventory control and oversight role, not overall management of Goods In operations or warehouse teams.
• Stock adjustments must not be made without appropriate investigation, evidence and authorisation.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
• Hands-on stock control or inventory management experience in warehousing, fulfilment or distribution.
• Practical WMS experience covering inventory movements, cycle counts and stock adjustments.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence investigating and interpreting inventory data.
• Understanding of SKU control, stock reconciliation and discrepancy investigation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, communication and problem-solving.
• Ability to work with operational teams in a fast-paced, service-led environment.
Desirable
• Experience in multi-client 3PL or high-volume D2C/eCommerce fulfilment.
• Batch/lot traceability, expiry control and FEFO/FIFO experience, particularly in health, wellness or supplements.
• CAPA, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement experience.
How Success Will Be Measured
The following are proposed KPIs, subject to confirmation against operational baselines and customer requirements:
• Inventory accuracy – at least 99.9%.
• Cycle count compliance – 100% of scheduled counts completed.
• Stock discrepancy resolution – at least 95% within 48 hours.
• Stock adjustment control – 100% authorised and documented.
• CAPA completion – 100% within agreed timescales.
The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here
You take ownership of accuracy and follow problems through to resolution.
You are methodical, proactive and confident asking questions.
You can prioritise competing demands and flag service risks early.
You enjoy working across teams to make operations better.
Training & Development
You’ll receive training on Zendbox systems, stock control processes and customer requirements, with opportunities to develop your operational and technical expertise.
