Product Manager

Over the last 14 years, Ellevation Education has built a thriving business serving the educators who support English Learners. Today, nearly 2,000 districts across the country use Ellevation software to drive English Language Development (ELD) in their schools. We are a successful, growing business with a real mission: helping ELLs achieve their highest aspirations.

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager for our Data Ingest team as we pursue our goal of being the premier and most impactful ELD solution on the market. Just as we're evolving our product experience from a suite of point solutions into an integrated platform, we're evolving how we get data into that platform — moving from a patchwork of data ingestion tools to a single, scalable ingest engine. This role reports to a VP of Product and partners daily with Engineering and Data Operations team members.

You'll serve as a product leader for Data Ingest — building the tooling that brings rostering, EL program, and assessment data from a variety of systems into our platform. The core challenge is accurately ingesting imperfect raw data and representing it effectively across 2,000 districts. This involves reimaginging our technically complex, high-stakes data pipelines while ensuring all ingested data continues to effectively power downstream customer workflows across our product. The right candidate will bring a genuine love of data and technical fluency, a curious and evidence-based mindset to explore complex data problems in terms of user and business impact, combined with exceptional collaboration and communication skills to manage senior-level stakeholder alignment. In this role, you’ll have a tremendous impact across both internal operations and downstream customer workflows across our product.

Product Culture

We are organized into small, durable product teams that develop solutions in specific domains. Our teams are cross-functional — product, design, and engineering work so closely together that we call ourselves DevPro and rarely meet in functional silos. We focus on outcomes over output, which means we engage users early, validate hypotheses through research and prototyping, and iterate rapidly toward high-confidence solutions.

While we work in separate teams, we prioritize integration and consistency of our solutions, meaning consistency isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s a critical part of our end goal.

We expect AI tools like Claude Cowork and Claude Code to be central to product managers’’ workflows — as on-demand collaborators that help explore ideas quickly, stress-test assumptions, and move from problem to prototype faster. This is not about replacing PM judgment; it is about using AI to expand what is possible within the constraints of appetite and scope.

We value product managers who think strategically and are able to look at problems from multiple angles, weigh tradeoffs, and articulate how a solution meets the needs of both users and the business. We celebrate accountability to outcomes: building to learn, raising risks early, adapting quickly when the evidence points a new direction, and rapidly delivering products that create real value for educators and students.
