Over de functie
Als Airfreight Pricing specialist ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen van concurrerende en winstgevende luchtvrachttarieven die bijdragen aan groei van de business en behoud van klanten. Je fungeert als een belangrijke schakel tussen Sales, Procurement, Operations en internationale stakeholders. Door gebruik te maken van marktinzichten, commerciële analyses en pricing-expertise help je nieuwe zakelijke kansen te realiseren, de winstgevendheid te optimaliseren en de marktpositie van DHL Global Forwarding verder te versterken.
Deze functie biedt een uitstekende mogelijkheid om invloed uit te oefenen op strategische prijsbeslissingen, een bijdrage te leveren aan complexe internationale tenders en commerciële excellentie te realiseren binnen een toonaangevende logistieke organisatie.
Verantwoordelijkheden
Analyseren, prioriteren en structureren van binnenkomende RFQ's (Requests for Quotation).
Behandelen van spot quote-aanvragen en zorgen voor snelle en commercieel aantrekkelijke offertes.
Zelfstandig bijdragen aan wereldwijde tenders en strategische pricing-initiatieven.
Uitvoeren van risicoanalyses op RFQ's en ondersteunen van risico gebaseerde besluitvorming op landniveau.
Ontwikkelen van concurrerende luchtvrachttarieven vanuit een landelijk perspectief door marktontwikkelingen en trends nauwlettend te volgen.
Opstellen van prijsvoorstellen die bijdragen aan omzetgroei en commerciële doelstellingen.
Ondersteunen van lokale en wereldwijde tendertrajecten door prijsvoorstellen voor te bereiden, data te valideren en tijdige inzendingen te waarborgen.
Analyseren van klantwinstgevendheid, verzendprofielen en commerciële kansen ter ondersteuning van strategische prijsbeslissingen.
Monitoren van carrier-tarieven, capaciteitsontwikkelingen en concurrentieprijzen en deze marktinformatie vertalen naar concrete aanbevelingen.
Samenwerken met Procurement- en Carrier Management teams om kostprijsstructuren te begrijpen en prijsconcurrentie te verbeteren.
Beheren van prijsgegevens, tarieven en toeslagen in relevante systemen en zorgen voor consistentie tussen verschillende platformen.
Monitoren van pricing prestaties, waaronder winratio's, marges en compliance, en het identificeren van verbeterkansen.
Intensief samenwerken met Sales, Customer Service, Operations en Service Delivery om klantgerichte prijsoplossingen te ontwikkelen.

Je bent een commerciële, analytische en nauwkeurige professional met ervaring binnen luchtvrachtpricing en logistiek.
Daarnaast beschik je over:
Een afgeronde mbo/hbo-opleiding in Logistiek, Supply Chain Management, Bedrijfskunde of een vergelijkbare richting.
Meerdere jaren ervaring met airfreight pricing, tender management en commerciële analyses.
Grondige kennis van de luchtvracht- en forwardingmarkt.
Aantoonbare ervaring met RFQ-management en complexe prijsvraagstukken.
Sterke projectmanagement- en organisatorische vaardigheden.
Uitstekende analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
Gevorderde kennis van Microsoft Excel en Microsoft Office 365.
Het vermogen om zelfstandig te werken en tegelijkertijd effectief samen te werken binnen een team.
Flexibiliteit om te functioneren in een dynamische, internationale en snel veranderende omgeving.

Salarisindicatie
Functieschaal: DHL Salarisschaal 8
Indicatief bruto maandsalaris: € 3.075 - € 4.613 per maand op basis van een fulltime dienstverband (40 uur).
Inschaling is afhankelijk van kennis, ervaring en relevante werkachtergrond.
Mogelijkheid tot jaarlijkse salarisgroei binnen de schaal op basis van prestaties en ontwikkeling.

About the Role
As an Airfreight Pricing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing competitive and profitable air freight pricing solutions that contribute to business growth and customer retention. You will act as a key link between Sales, Procurement, Operations, and international stakeholders.
By leveraging market insights, commercial analyses, and pricing expertise, you will help secure new business opportunities, optimize profitability, and strengthen DHL Global Forwarding's market position.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze, prioritize, and structure incoming RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
Manage spot quote requests and ensure fast, commercially attractive quotations.
Independently contribute to global tenders and strategic pricing initiatives.
Conduct risk assessments on RFQs and support risk-based decision-making at country level.
Develop competitive air freight pricing from a country’s perspective by closely monitoring market developments and trends.
Prepare pricing proposals that support revenue growth and commercial objectives.
Support local and global tender processes by preparing pricing submissions, validating data, and ensuring timely delivery.
Analyze customer profitability, shipment profiles, and commercial opportunities to support strategic pricing decisions.
Monitor carrier rates, capacity developments, and competitor pricing, translating market intelligence into actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with Procurement and Carrier Management teams to understand cost structures and improve pricing competitiveness.
Maintain pricing data, rates, and surcharges in relevant systems and ensure consistency across multiple platforms.
Monitor pricing performance, including win rates, margins, and compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Service Delivery teams to develop customer-focused pricing solutions.

You are a commercially minded, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with experience in air freight pricing and logistics.
In addition, you bring:
A completed (MBO) or bachelor's degree (HBO) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Several years of experience in airfreight pricing, tender management, and commercial analysis.
Knowledge of the air freight and freight forwarding industry.
Preferably experience with RFQ management and complex pricing challenges.
Project management and organizational skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Flexibility to operate in a dynamic, international, and fast-changing environment.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Salary Indication
