About us

Appnovation is the AI Product Company. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, with teams around the world, Appnovation builds AI products, delivers enterprise AI and digital solutions, and co-invests with clients to bring new AI products to market.

Open source has been the foundation of Appnovation's work since 2007, and it remains the foundation underneath every AI product the company builds today. Appnovation teams work with organizations in highly regulated industries, including global leaders such as Pfizer, Google and AstraZeneca, to help them adopt AI they can govern and own.

Appnovation helps brands thrive through innovative, people-inspired experiences and solutions. By embracing the powerful combination of technology and agility, powered by the ever-changing world of AI, we seamlessly integrate strategy, experience, design, development and analytics.

We create standout digital experiences by collaborating with brands to understand the individual challenges and goals for every initiative. Focusing on our clients' customers, we effectively combine empathy, evidence and real-world insight so that solutions are derived from truth and meaning. Appnovation is an award-winning team dedicated to inspiring possibilities.

This role sits on a long-running engagement with one of our largest enterprise clients, a global pharmaceutical and life sciences organization, delivering AI-powered applications and service enhancements across a highly regulated, multi-stakeholder environment.

YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Run AI-powered delivery teams, where AI tooling is used across the development lifecycle, and set the working practices that keep quality and traceability high
• Coordinate sprints, retrospectives and daily stand-ups, and communicate clear sprint goals
• Partner with product owners and technology leaders to translate business requirements into work the development teams can execute, and handle backlog grooming and intake of new requests
• Work closely with developers, architects, business analysts, UX designers and client representatives to shape the direction and approach of each initiative
• Own delivery of service enhancements end to end, ensuring timely execution and quality outcomes
• Facilitate internal communications and act as the point of contact for external stakeholders, including senior client stakeholders in a regulated industry
• Estimate and track velocity and costs, develop resource plans, and assess issues and risks early
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Coach team members in Agile frameworks and guide teams to higher levels of maturity in the context of AI-powered delivery
• Resolve conflicts, remove obstacles, and help teams adopt change effectively
• Ensure deliverables meet high quality standards at the end of every sprint and release
• Identify and recommend process improvements in how we deliver
• Help build a productive and enjoyable environment where team members own their products and solutions
