QA Engineer

Who we are

At Fluxon, we believe that how you build matters as much as what you build. We help businesses navigate their most important technology decisions with confidence, and take responsibility for seeing them through. Founded by ex-Googlers and startup veterans, we’re proud to partner with teams behind some of the most ambitious products, including Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Walmart and Stripe.

Our work spans strategy, design, and engineering — often in complex, AI-driven environments — where clarity, speed and quality are the standard. We use AI intentionally, applying it only where it adds real value and expands what’s possible. Care shapes everything we do.

Inside Fluxon, you’ll find a global, remote-first team of experienced builders, who are curious, kind and serious about their craft. We’re building a place where people can take ownership, solve problems that matter and do work they’re proud to stand behind. If you want to do your best work alongside people who care as much as you do, you’ll feel at home here.

About the role

You are an architect for quality with the vision to define and build QA processes for any sort of app. You can work at any company in the world, but you choose us because you want to use your versatility and "nose for bugs" to solve new and interesting challenges. You are a champion of quality on multi-disciplined teams, blending a deep understanding of user experience with a technical approach to breaking systems.

You are a thought partner to developers and product managers — someone who doesn't just find bugs but identifies systematic gaps. You are brilliant yet humble; a doer with high integrity who takes ownership of quality and enjoys a full life outside of work.

If this sounds like you, we would love to chat!

Note: This position is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere in Poland or Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the end-to-end QA strategy and processes for entire products, determining the most effective manual techniques to ensure "world-class" standards of quality
• Plan and perform exploratory and manual testing for complex features, going beyond specifications to ensure the user experience is intuitive and seamless
• Be the champion and source-of-truth for quality, helping both internal teams and clients identify systematic quality gaps while building processes to close them. Evangelize "quality at the source" across the development lifecycle
• Own the documentation and reporting of quality metrics and bug tracking, ensuring the product team, engineers, and clients have clear visibility into project health
• Partner with the PMs and TPMs to define acceptance criteria and manage release approvals
• Lead cross-functional investigations into complex quality issues, driving them through to resolution with engineering and product teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in testing complex web, mobile, and API-based applications
• 2+ years of experience acting as a sole QA leading a project, with the ability to build a testing strategy from a blank slate
• A "nose for bugs" and the manual testing skills to break an app in ways a script might miss. You understand user experience as much as code
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture, modern engineering stacks, and the ability to use DevTools and API clients (like Postman) to perform deep technical audits
• Practical understanding of how manual testing fits into a modern CI/CD pipeline and the ability to collaborate on release cycles
• Proficiency at maintaining test documentation and communicating test results to key stakeholders
• A mindset for risk-based testing, with the ability to clearly articulate technical risks and quality tradeoffs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive personality who learns quickly while working independently and is always looking for ways to improve the "how" of building software
• Upper-Intermediate level of written and spoken English
