Role Overview
As a Financial Controller you will be responsible and accountable for all accounting, audit, and financial reporting functions at BRKZ. This is not a traditional, high-level oversight or advisory position. We are looking for a builder, someone who will operate directly in the trenches, establish robust financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and actively develop our finance team as the company continues to scale rapidly.
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Saudi accounting, tax, zakat, VAT, audit, and regulatory requirements, with experience in fast-paced companies. Startup experience is highly preferred, and experience in construction, contracting, building materials, or marketplace businesses is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accruals, reconciliations, payroll accounting, and monthly closing.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial statements.
- Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, and reporting packs for leadership, investors, banks, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Own the external audit process end to end, including preparation of audit schedules, coordination with auditors, resolution of audit comments, and timely issuance of audited financial statements.
- , including tax, zakat, VAT, withholding tax, e-invoicing, accounting standards, and regulatory filings.
