Account Manager

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our New York, NY office (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.

The Points Guy (TPG) is looking for a driven, business-minded Account Manager with 2-4 years of experience to power our inbound partnerships business. You'll run point on incoming RFPs and agency briefs, building the proposals, media plans, and pitches that turn interest into revenue, working side by side with our sales leads across travel, financial, and lifestyle categories. It's a hands-on seat in a high-growth sales organization, built for someone who wants to learn how premium media partnerships get sold and is ready to move into a direct sales role.

• Grow Your Accounts: Partner with our sales leads to manage and grow a set of emerging and mid-market accounts across travel (airline, hotel, cruise), retail, auto, tech, beauty, and financial services.
• Build Agency Relationships: Serve as a go-to contact for brand partners and their media agencies throughout the RFP and planning cycle, answering questions, coordinating inputs, and keeping deals moving toward close.
• Drive Pre-Sale Strategy: Partner with editorial, sales enablement, and integrated marketing to build strategic proposals, vet creative feasibility, and package ideas that win business.
• Identify Growth Opportunities: Use performance and market insights to build the case for renewals and upsells, pitching ideas like paid social add-ons or custom editorial integrations alongside our sales leads.
• Build Winning Pitches: Build and present high-impact media plans, proposals, and renewal decks, taking an active speaking role in client and agency meetings.
• Manage the Pipeline: Maintain accurate account records, contract details, and revenue tracking in our CRM to help the broader team forecast monthly and quarterly wins.
• Hit the Road: Represent TPG out in the wild—including opportunities to travel to major industry conferences, network with partners, and stay ahead of media trends.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in digital media account management, media planning, or agency client services. Experience handling a mix of lifestyle, travel, or finance clients is a huge plus.
• Sales-Minded Focus: A clear goal of moving into a direct sales role, with experience supporting account growth, and renewals.
• Organization & Detail Management: Elite organizational skills, laser-sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple RFPs and deadlines at once .
• Confidence & Polish: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the natural charisma to pitch directly to brand decision-makers.
• The "TPG" Factor: A genuine passion for or deep curiosity about credit card rewards, points and miles, and the airline/hotel loyalty ecosystem.
