Business Development Representative

Washington, DC Metro Area preferred. Open to remote.

We're hiring a BDR who treats an empty pipeline as a problem to solve.

This is a pure outbound role. You'll go after enterprise accounts - major brands and agencies - and get senior decision-makers to take the meeting. The accounts are big, the buyers are senior, and the product is one you can sell with real conviction.

Resonate is a predictive consumer intelligence company. Our data and AI tell marketers what people are going to do before they do it: what they'll buy, what they care about, and what will move them to act. Companies use it to win customers their competitors never saw coming. Your job is to get those companies on the phone.

What you'll do

• Build pipeline through outbound - cold calls, personalized email, LinkedIn, account-based Fplays. Whatever gets the meeting.

• Research target accounts and find the people who actually make the call.

• Book qualified meetings with enterprise buyers and hand your AEs real opportunities, not noise.

• Hit your number every month, then beat it.

• Work with Marketing and Account Executives to pick which accounts to go after and how.

• Bring back what you hear in the field, so we sharpen the pitch and the targeting.

Who wins here

• You'd rather pick up the phone than wait for a lead to land in your inbox.

• A "no" just means you haven’t found the right angle yet.

• You're organized enough to run a territory or vertical, not just work a to-do list.

• You want clear targets and a way to measure how you’re doing.

• You learn a complex product fast and explain it simply.

• You own your results - the wins and the misses.

What you bring

• Experience in outbound sales, BDR/SDR, or demand gen. Bonus if it was MarTech, or selling to marketing, insights, research, or analytics buyers.

• A track record of hitting quota and a story about the quarter you blew past it.

• Comfort with Salesforce, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo.

• Sharp listening skills. The best at this ask better questions, they don't just talk more.

• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.

What's in it for you

• Base salary plus uncapped commission. The more you book, the more you make.

• Direct partnership with your Account Executives on target accounts. You'll see the full sales process up close and learn what separates a good seller from a great one.

Compensation & Benefits

At Resonate you'll work with smart, down-to-earth people on AI-powered data and identity products that are changing how the marketing industry works. We pair that with pay and benefits built to support you at work and outside of it. There's a lot more about life at Resonate on our careers site, take a look.

The base salary range for this role is $55,000-$60,000, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $77,000-$82,000, which combines base salary and commission at 100% of target. Where an offer lands within the range depends on your experience, skills, qualifications, and location. OTE reflects expected earnings at target and is not guaranteed.

Resonate also offers a benefits package that includes:

• Medical, dental, and vision coverage, including HSA
• Company-paid disability and life insurance with a life insurance buy-up option
• a 401(k) with company match
• Flexible PTO plus 10 paid holidays
• Paid parental leave
• Access to wellbeing and employee assistance programs, including free and unlimited access to 20+ health professionals and wellbeing coaches for you and your family members.

You'll get the full list after your first conversation with our HR team.
