Case Manager

Are you a wizard at turning a chaotic pile of evidence into a bullet-proof case file—without breaking a sweat?

Can you leap from drafting interrogatories to soothing an anxious client faster than the courthouse elevator hits the first floor?

Does the idea of juggling 100+ civil cases sound like Tuesday morning coffee territory to you?

Final question: When faced with a challenge, do you get excited or run away?

Spencer Trial Attorneys is a family-owned firm run by litigators Jake and Ashley Spencer. From their historic house-turned-office at 1009 Montana Ave. in El Paso, they combine big-firm firepower with small-town heart, fighting for clients across West Texas in estate planning, probate, guardianship, personal injury, criminal defense, and select civil matters.

Clients choose us because we make justice affordable without cutting corners—and because we treat every case like it’s family business. Our courtroom reputation is fierce; our office culture is friendly, collaborative, and allergy-free from drama.

To keep pace with rapid growth (and lighten the load on our three over-achieving Case Managers), we’re adding a dedicated Case Manager focused on civil litigation—think contested car-accident suits and miscellaneous discovery-heavy matters. You’ll be the linchpin who ensures pleadings go out spotless, discovery comes in complete, and clients never feel lost in the process.

What you’ll do:

• Draft & File Pleadings: Complaints, answers, motions, and proposed orders that make opposing counsel wish for early retirement.
• Master Discovery: Prepare interrogatories, requests for admission/production, and track responses like a hawk.
• Legal Research: Pin down statutes, case law, and procedural rules to bullet-proof pleadings.
• Client Interface: Field routine questions, gather documents, and schedule attorney calls with warmth and clarity.
• Case-Load Management: Shepherd up to 300 active files through deadlines, hearings, and settlement checkpoints.
• Attorney Collaboration: Deliver concise case updates and flag issues before they become court-room embarrassments.
• Record Organization: Maintain impeccable digital and physical files—yes, even during the temporary remote stint while our office renovation wraps (target July/August).

What we’re looking for:

• Experience:  1+ year in probate, estate planning, or comparable legal setting preferred. Exceptional newcomers with rock-solid writing chops will be considered.
• Bi-lingual: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with a diverse client base.
• Discovery Ninja: Fluent in Texas rules and federal FRCP discovery demands.
• Research & Writing: You can brief a thorny issue in plain English—and proof your work without Grammarly holding your hand.
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable in case-management platforms, MS Office, and e-filing portals.
• Soft Skills: Positive, coachable, stress-resilient, and genuinely curious about the law (clock-punchers need not apply).
• On-Site Commitment: Full-time at our El Paso office once renovations finish; brief remote training period possible.

Why you should work here:

• Growth Track: As we add attorneys and caseloads, next-level roles (Senior Case Manager, Discovery Lead, Paralegal) open fast.
• Hands-On Training: Direct mentorship from partners plus 30-60-90-day onboarding roadmap and SOPs.
• Culture First: We hire for talent and attitude—then keep only the people who elevate the team.
• Meaningful Impact: Your precision directly influences client settlements and courtroom wins.

Additional perks:

• Competitive Salary:  We are committed to offering competitive compensation that aligns with the expertise and experience our candidates bring to the table.

• Additional Benefits:

• All El Paso County courthouse holidays + flexible sick/emergency leave

• Firm is exploring a $250-$500 monthly health-insurance stipend for employees who need coverage

• Renovated workspace with private offices, annual performance reviews, and complimentary six-month Crisp Experience professional-development program after 90 days

At Spencer Trial Attorneys, victory isn’t just a verdict—it’s our clients reclaiming peace of mind. If you’re ready to draft, research, and orchestrate cases like a maestro (while cracking an occasional joke with the team), smash that Apply button. We can’t wait to see how you’ll raise the bar for client care and courtroom results.
