Account Manager

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Sales team in Leuven and take ownership of growing and retaining our existing customer base across the region.

Your mission is clear: renew, upsell, and cross-sell. You’ll manage the commercial relationship with your customers, secure renewals, and proactively uncover opportunities to expand Guardsquare’s footprint across teams, business units, geographies, and products.

This is an Account Management role with a strong proactive account expansion mindset. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply manage existing business, but actively looks for what’s next. You know how to navigate complex organizations, open new doors within existing accounts, and turn untapped potential into commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial relationship for a portfolio of customers across Western Europe.
• Drive the renewal process, protecting existing revenue and building strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Proactively identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your accounts.
• Expand Guardsquare’s footprint by identifying new teams, business units, geographies, use cases, and stakeholders.
• Build relationships beyond your existing contacts and engage relevant decision-makers across security, engineering, procurement, legal, and business teams.
• Understand your customers’ priorities and challenges, and connect them to the right Guardsquare solutions.
• Present Guardsquare solutions and demonstrate the value of expanding their current implementation.
• Identify potential renewal risks early and take the necessary commercial actions to protect the account.
• Work closely with Customer Service, Solutions Engineering, and other internal teams to support account growth and retention.
• Maintain accurate account plans, opportunities, pipeline, and sales activities in Salesforce.

Profile

• At least 5 years of similar experience in B2B software sales or Account Management.
• Experience selling into BFSI or Fintech.
• Proven experience owning renewals, upselling, and cross-selling within an existing customer portfolio.
• Experience carrying and delivering against an annual ARR target.
• A genuine hunter mentality: you proactively create opportunities rather than waiting for customers to come to you.
• A strong track record of growing accounts and identifying untapped revenue potential.
• Experience navigating complex enterprise organizations and sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen, and confidence in driving negotiations and closing business.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, from day-to-day contacts to senior decision-makers.
• Comfortable prospecting within existing accounts, opening new conversations, and building relationships with new stakeholders.
• Experience working with CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce.
• Fluent professional French and English is required.
• Previous experience in cybersecurity, application security, or technical/developer-focused software sales is a strong plus.
• Willing to work from our Leuven office at least 3 days per week.

What Guardsquare offers you

• A full-time position with a competitive salary package tailored to your experience.
• Ownership of a customer portfolio across Western Europe with plenty of opportunity to make a commercial impact.
• The tools, resources, and flexibility you need to successfully develop your career.
• A vibrant, international environment where you will collaborate with motivated, open-minded colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• A collaborative workplace culture where your ideas are valued and implemented.
• A hybrid working model, combining flexibility with at least 3 days per week together in our Leuven office.

At Guardsquare, we take pride in being a diverse and multicultural company with team members representing numerous nationalities. We value different perspectives and opinions throughout the business which has contributed to our being the market leader in mobile application security.

You will be part of a dynamic team that strives for excellence and focuses on continuous education and enhancement in skills. We encourage & empower our trusted colleagues to share their opinions, actively collaborate, and continue to learn and grow.
