The Accounts Receivable Manager will be a key member of the global accounting and finance organization, responsible for leading the end-to-end accounts receivable function. The role will oversee customer invoicing, cash application, collections, account reconciliations, credit and dispute management, and period-end reporting, while maintaining strong internal controls and delivering accurate, timely financial information.
This highly visible role will partner with Sales, Account Management, Legal, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and other stakeholders to improve working capital, resolve customer account issues, and support a scalable order-to-cash process. The ideal candidate combines operational expertise with hands-on leadership, sound judgment, a customer-focused approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement and automation.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Lead and manage daily accounts receivable operations, including billing, cash application, collections, customer account maintenance, credit balances, refunds, AR reporting, and dispute resolution.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts receivable close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations, aging analyses, allowance considerations, and management reporting.
- Monitor receivables aging, collection performance, unapplied cash, disputed invoices, and past-due balances; establish follow-up plans and escalate material risks as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain collection strategies, customer communication standards, and account prioritization practices that support cash flow while preserving constructive customer relationships.
- Maintain and strengthen policies, procedures, process documentation, and internal controls across the accounts receivable cycle, including compliance with applicable accounting standards and company requirements.
- Prepare and present meaningful accounts receivables metrics and management reporting, including aging trends, collection status, DSO, cash application performance, entity-level receivables, and risk areas.
- Serve as the primary accounts receivable contact for internal and external audits; prepare supporting schedules and respond to audit requests in a timely manner.
