About Us
Galliford Try is one of the UK’s most formidable construction businesses with an enviable track record of delivering schemes that strive to provide positive, lasting change for the communities we work in. As a FTSE 250 organisation, we turnover £1.5 billion and employ over 3,500 people across four successful divisions: Building, Infrastructure, Environment and Specialist Services.
As one of the UK’s leading principal contractors, you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the country’s most exciting infrastructure projects, offering you stability alongside the chance to develop your expertise and build a rewarding long-term career. You’ll be joining collaborative teams that are committed to delivering excellence for our clients, communities and each other.
Our Environment Division
Our Environment Business provides 'source to sea' asset delivery capability across the UK and Scotland, delivering both framework and standalone projects for the UK's major water companies. Since AMP3, we have successfully delivered more than £2 billion of assets for clients including Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water.
As the sector continues to evolve, we're investing in digital innovation, sustainability and smarter ways of working to help shape the future of water infrastructure. Joining our Environment Division means becoming part of a forward-thinking team that delivers essential infrastructure while making a lasting difference to communities across the UK.
Purpose of the Role
As an HS&E Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of Galliford Try's Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across our Environment Division.
Working closely with the Head of HS&E, you'll help ensure our projects consistently achieve the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance. You'll work alongside operational teams throughout the project lifecycle, providing practical guidance, driving continuous improvement and helping embed a positive, proactive HS&E culture across the business.
This is a varied role that combines site-based support with performance monitoring, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact on how we deliver projects safely and responsibly.

- Support the implementation and continual improvement of the Environment Division's HS&E strategy and management systems, ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements and ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
