Revenue Cycle Management Manager

About Clarity Pediatrics

Clarity Pediatrics is redefining pediatric chronic care in a fragmented, $100B category.

Clarity is fast emerging as one of the most innovative leaders in pediatric health. One in three American children has a common chronic condition like ADHD, allergies, asthma, and obesity – yet families struggle to get timely, high-quality care. Clarity scales virtual access to multi-specialty care, putting all the care a family needs in one place. We are turning a chaotic, fragmented and expensive care journey into a clear path forward.

Now is a great time to join - we just closed a substantial Series A, which means we've got runway, ambition and a growing team. Since inception, we've raised $25M from leading VCs who invested early in category winners like One Medical, Hims, Spring Health, Cityblock, Alto Pharmacy, Strava and Tia.

How we are different

Category creator in pediatric chronic care: Clarity is the first virtual platform uniting multi-specialty care for children with chronic conditions — we have a new model that replaces fragmented specialty visits with one coordinated, scalable system of care.

Clinically led with proven outcomes: Designed by pediatric subspecialists, our evidence-based approach delivers high engagement and industry-leading unit economics, demonstrating both superior outcomes and durable growth potential.

High-trust, high-leverage growth engine: Anchored in pediatrician referrals (85% of volume), innovative group care, and Medicaid inclusion from day one, Clarity's model compounds through network effects, strong retention, and expanding condition-based verticals.

Experienced team

Our cofounders bring deep domain expertise in healthcare and company building:

Christina LaMontagne (CEO) has led two startups to >$100M ARR and profitability, scaled care delivery to 250K+ patients per month as COO of a leading women's telehealth service, and was an early GM at NerdWallet (IPO 2021). She earned her MBA at Harvard and was a Fulbright Scholar in China.

Dr. Alesandro Larrazabal (CMO) trained at UCSF and Stanford, led specialty care at Kaiser Permanente, and worked at IDEO. A native of Guatemala, he is triple-board certified across multiple pediatric specialties and ensures all our care is offered in English and Spanish.

About this role

Clarity Pediatrics is transforming pediatric specialty care by partnering with pediatricians to deliver expert, evidence-based care for children with chronic conditions. Behind every seamless family and provider experience is a RCM engine that keeps contracting, billing, denials, and collections running cleanly — protecting both our patients and our business. We're looking for a Sr. Manager/Director of RCM to own and scale that engine.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll own the strategy, systems, and execution across payer contracting, billing, denials, collections, and reconciliation — and lead the RevOps team that runs it day to day. You'll work side-by-side with Credentialing, Contracting, Patient Support, Clinical Operations, and Finance to diagnose and resolve the root causes behind denials and payer issues, not just process them.

This is a builder role. You'll set the strategy while staying close enough to the details to catch a credentialing gap or a mis-loaded contract term before it becomes a pattern. We're looking for someone who is energized by precision and root-cause thinking, obsessed with the accuracy and integrity of every dollar that moves through Clarity, and eager to build the foundation of a RCM function that scales alongside the company.

What you'll own

• Lead and grow the RevOps team: Manage and develop the RevOps Lead and Associates — setting priorities, coaching on complex cases, and building a team structure that scales with the business.

• Own payer contracting strategy: Negotiate rates and terms, manage the contract lifecycle, and ensure contract terms are accurately loaded and enforced across billing systems.

• Set the standard for billing accuracy: Own the billing function's strategy and quality bar, ensuring claims submission accuracy, coding integrity, and clean-claim rates that meet or exceed industry benchmarks.

• Own denials, end to end: Establish and negotiate payer contracts, track denial trends by payer and reason code, lead structured root-cause analysis that spans credentialing, contracting, and patient eligibility, and improve the process across functions together — treating denials as a cross-functional signal, not just a billing problem.

• Drive cross-functional resolution: Build and run the mechanisms with Patient Support, Provider Operations, Growth and Product teams needed to resolve systemic denial drivers at the source and prevent recurrence.

• Own reconciliation and collections: Lead end-to-end reconciliation of payer remittances (ERA/EOB) and claims-related bank activity against contracted terms, and oversee collections and A/R management to keep aging balances low and cash flow predictable.

• Partner with Finance: Support the Head of Finance during month-end close — owning reconciliation deliverables, A/R and denial reporting, and analysis of collections risk.

• Be the go-to expert: Act as the subject-matter expert on revenue cycle performance for stakeholders across Patient Support, Provider Operations, Clinical Ops, and Finance, translating billing and denial detail into clear, actionable recommendations. Optimize billing processes and codes.

• Build for scale: Identify and implement the process, tooling, and documentation improvements — partnering with Product and Engineering where useful — that make billing, denials, and reconciliation more accurate and scalable, while maintaining the controls needed for audit readiness and compliance.

What we are looking for

5-7+ years of total revenue cycle experience, including 2-3+ years managing a team in a billing/RCM or similar operations function — more extensive, progressively responsible experience (including payer contract negotiation) will be considered for the Director-level title.

• Root-cause obsessed: You don't just fix the claim in front of you — you trace it back to credentialing, contracting, or eligibility and fix the process that produced it.

• Cross-functional operator: You're comfortable owning outcomes that depend on other teams, and you know how to build the relationships and mechanisms that get contracting, credentialing, and patient access aligned on a fix.

• Analytical rigor: You're comfortable building and maintaining trackers and reports to monitor collection rates, denial trends and A/R aging, and using that data to drive fixes rather than just report on the problem.

• Trusted partner: Colleagues rely on your judgment and follow-through. You can explain a reconciliation discrepancy clearly to an associate on your team and to the Head of Finance alike.

• You love startup life: You're curious, scrappy, and energized by building. You are comfortable with ambiguity, evolving processes, and doing what it takes to help the business succeed.

• Payer breadth: Experience working across commercial, Medicaid, and self-pay payer types, with an understanding of how billing, denial, and collections practices differ across each.

This role may be based in our SF office or fully remote. You'll partner closely with the Head of Finance and cross-functional teams to keep Clarity's revenue engine running cleanly as we scale. Experience at a virtual care or telemedicine startup is preferred.
