The Opportunity
The Director of Wholesale Planning drives the sell-in planning strategy across Puig North America, bringing alignment across corporate financial targets, supply forecasts and retailer financial plans. The role is responsible for developing and implementing a centralized, streamlined planning process across the portfolio of brands, covering both saleable and non-saleable goods, with a single roll-up from retailer and brand to the total US business. This role reports into the Senior Director, Commercial Strategy & Planning. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, operational excellence and a passion for delivering strategic insights in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
What you'll get to do
- Develop and implement an integrated commercial planning process across the portfolio: One calendar, one standard and one set of definitions, consolidating stock and sales forecasts by brand, retailer and channel into a total-US view, and incorporating feedback from commercial sales teams and planners to highlight company-wide risks and opportunities
- Bring saleable and non-saleable planning together: plan non-saleable (testers, samples, GWPs, collateral and event materials) in relation to the saleable plan and the financial plan, allocated by brand and retailer and measured with KPIs rather than ad hoc
- Lead the yearly sell-in budgeting process, partnering cross-functionally to ensure plans are grounded in commercial reality, aligned to corporate targets and clearly communicated across the organization
- Lead weekly and monthly reviews of brand and retailer estimates, analyzing historical data, sell-in vs. sell-through trends and retail run rates to improve planning accuracy and maximize sales
- Track and provide visibility of real-time progress against monthly estimates across the portfolio; proactively identify projected shortfalls versus internal financial targets and work with sales teams on gap-closing initiatives
- Monitor retailer inventory health across the brands, including stock coverage, weeks of supply, receipts vs. plan and sell-through, sharing data-driven analysis with commercial teams to ensure demand is captured and to avoid excess stock, returns exposure or out-of-stocks
