Cobalt Service Partners Overview

Cobalt is a private equity-backed company aiming to build the most impactful business in the commercial access and security industry (access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems and other low voltage systems integration). Cobalt is backed by Alpine Investors, a private equity firm specializing in middle market companies in the services and software industries and with $15bn+ of AUM. Cobalt's Co-CEOs (Tyler Hoffman and Anthony Gonzalez) are experienced investors and operators. In just two and a half years, Cobalt has successfully acquired 23 partner companies and established itself as one of the leading platforms in a highly attractive and fragmented industry that is benefitting from substantial secular growth tailwinds.

Position Overview

Cobalt is building a modern, standardized operating platform across its security integration partner companies. The Senior Manager, Technology Implementation leads a implementation team that brings each partner company onto Cobalt's core business systems, from service and project operations to CRM and HR. This is a player-coach role: the Senior Manager leads a small team and stays hands-on in the work.

The role owns each rollout end to end: on-site discovery with the people who run the business, system design and configuration, user training, testing, go-live and adoption. It runs several rollouts in parallel, makes the key calls on how processes and data move over, and works with partner company leaders and vendors to keep scope, priorities and timelines on track. Success is measured by how well teams use the systems after launch, not only by whether they go live.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience leading simultaneous, complex business systems implementations (ERP, field service management, CRM and/or HRIS/payroll) from discovery through go-live and hypercare
• Fluent in field service business lines and delivery models (project-based work, remote monitoring, quick-turn service, distribution)
• Owned system adoption and success after go-live, delivering measurable efficiency gains and margin expansion
• Managed implementations at a time on fast timelines
• Hands-on configuration experience as a system builder or administrator
• Built and ran multi-site project plans with clear milestones and sign-offs
• Led or coached team members while staying hands-on in the work
• Experience in systems integration or private equity-backed companies is a plus

Personal Attributes

• Systems thinker - sees how system and technical configurations impact operational workflows, and flow through to billing and financial results
• Multi-level - moves easily between nitty-gritty detail and high-level strategy, and between frontline teams and senior leaders
• Highly structured - solves problems with structure, analysis, and brings answers - not just issues
• Strong prioritization - can quickly identify the handful of items that matter, and focus relentlessly on those
• Business partner - becomes a trusted partner to business leaders - takes full ownership of outcomes, including adoption after launch; doesn't just go through the motions to get a team live; confident pushing back on leaders and vendors, with evidence
